Obituary of Susan D Hurteau
ILION- Mrs. Susan D. Hurteau, age 57, went to be with the lord on Wednesday June 21, 2017, with her loving family by her side.
Born on June 12, 1960, in Cooperstown, NY she is the daughter of the late James and Dorothy (Griffin) Rowland. On July 17, 1976, she was united in marriage to Charles Hurteau at First United Methodist Church in Ilion, NY.
Susan was employed for many years at ACS in Utica as a Collection Specialist. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to as many people as she could. Susan enjoyed camping with Charles and her family throughout the summer months. The love that she had for her family was like no other and all she wanted to do was spend time with them.
Susan is survived by her husband Charles of 41 beautiful years; three daughters and son in-laws, Tanya Marie Hurteau and fiancé, Keith Demming, Tracy (Chris) Shufelt, and Jessie (Robert) LaBella, all of Ilion; her sister and fiancé, Bonnie Seamon and Timothy Warner of Mohawk, six grandchildren, Andrew (Kenddra), Tyana, Janessa, Arianna, Christopher Jr., and Carter; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be deeply missed by her Canine Companion, Mocha.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Tuesday June 27, 2017 from 10:00AM-11:00AM at Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, Town of Frankfort, Ilion, NY (315) 894-8000.
Funeral services will be at the funeral home, following visitation at 11:00AM with the Rev. Bob Wollaber officiating. Internment will take place at Armory Hill Cemetery in Ilion at the convenience of the family.
