HERKIMER – Mr. Richard C. “Rick” Hartman, age 63, entered eternal rest on Monday afternoon February 5, 2018 in the privacy of his home. His peaceful passing was graced and comforted by the presence of his loving family at his side.

Rick was born on February 6, 1954 in Herkimer, NY, a son of the late Charles and Shirley (Eysaman) Hartman. He was a graduate of Herkimer High School, Class of 1972 and was proud to be class President. Rick married his high school sweetheart Gina Donato on July 28, 1974 at St. Anthony’s Church in Herkimer. They shared in a blessed union of 43 years. Rick was a great family man and took pride in raising his children. For 13 years, he had operated “The Pub” in Herkimer, where he created many lifelong memories and friendships. He worked with the New York State Department of Transportation for 30 years, where he was a supervisor for Special Crews Bridge Repair.  He was a 43 - year member of the Herkimer Elks Lodge and a member of the Polish Community Home, as well as a proud member of the Stewarts Milk Card Club. Rick enjoyed to watch various sports in his garage, especially The New York Giants, New York Mets, Boston College football, Syracuse basketball, and Nascar. You were always greeted with a smile and a friendly hello when walking into his home. He will be greatly missed.
