He is survived by his wife of 34 years Lois, his son, David Michael Carter and his fiancée Rosana Holden of Sandusky, Ohio, his step-son Scott D. Ashe of Virginia Beach, Virginia, a son-in-law, Ethan Beyer, of Rotterdam Junction, NY and grandchildren, Jacob Carter Beyer, Daniel Stone Beyer, and Nicholas Ashe Beyer, sisters-in-law, Linda Johnson and her husband Tim of Stratford, and Mary Stalnaker Mosher of Utica, brothers-in-law, Mark Stalnaker and wife Linda of Dolgeville, Robert Stalnaker and wife Lynn of Stratford, and Jeff Stalnaker and wife Sue of Virginia and several very special nieces, nephews, cousins and many beloved friends. And, from Bud’s first marriage, two nieces that were so very special to him, Louise Pietrandrea Wiernicki of Herkimer and Margaret Pietrandrea Myers of
He was predeceased by his step-son, John J. Ashe, his step-daughter Barbara Ashe Beyer, and a lifelong friend and brother Paul Mastracco, who Bud knew since childhood and carried a lifelong bond of love with.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at 3:00 PM at The Enea Family Funeral Home,
It is the wish of the family that donations in memory of Harry J. Carter, Jr. be considered to Hospice of Otsego County, a special fund that will be established for the education of his grandchildren, or a charity of choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Lois is grateful toward the incredible staff at Bassett Healthcare as well as the angels of Hospice.
