Obituary of Sheila J. Fancher Brown Karges
ILION – Sheila J. Fancher Brown Karges, 71, passed away on Monday April 16, 2018. She was born on October 22, 1946 in Ilion, a daughter of the late Emmett and Dorothy (Truax) Fancher. She was a resident of the Mohawk Valley most of her life, and was a Graduate of Ilion High School, Class of 1965. She received her Certified Nursing Aide and was employed by Mohawk Valley Nursing Home and most recently for the Masonic Home for 30 plus years. She was a member of the General Herkimer Riding Club and the Valley Voices for Christ. She is survived by her son, Christopher Brown of Ilion, NY, her daughter Tori Ghabour and her husband Sameh of Marlboro, MA, six grandchildren, Christina Brown and her fiancé Kyle Klumbach, Hailey Manley, Taylor Brown, and Paige Manley, Alyiah Ghabour and Hena Ghabour, two great-grandchildren, Jackson Klumbach and Deacon Klumbach and is also survived by several cousins.
Funeral services and Celebration of the Life of Sheila will be held on Thursday April 19, 2018 at 7:00 PM at The Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road (Town of Frankfort) Ilion, NY with Rev. Dr. Steven A. Scarcia officiating. Friends and family may attend calling hours prior to the services from 5 until 7 PM Thursday evening at the funeral home. The family recognizes the staff of the Mohawk Valley Healthcare Center as well as Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare and University Hospital for their support and care.
