Obituary of Rosalie A. Blair

 

Ilion-Utica - Rosalie A. Blair (Sbaraglia), 88 years old, formerly of London Towers, Ilion, passed peacefully into the loving arms of her father Jesus Christ.

 

She was born on August 31,1929 in Utica, The daughter of Julio and Carmella Sbaraglia. Rosalie was married to the late Clifford T. Blair in 1946.

 

Rosalie was a woman of faith. The past years she enjoyed teaching and sharing the word of the lord through Bible classes. Rosalie loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She loved to sing, and enjoyed playing Bingo and cards.

 

Rosalie is also survived by her Brother, Anthony Sbaraglia, of Rome, NY; sister, Margaret LaPoint, of Auburn, NY; daughter’s, Diane Sweezey Lane, of York, PA, Linda Marrotta Brundige and son-in-law Terrance Brundige, of Amsterdam, NY, Erin Blair Thayer, of Ilion, NY; Son, Clifford Blair and daughter-in-law Micky Blair, of Claremont, NH; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

She was predeceased by her daughter, Christine Blair Foster; Sisters, Josephine Druck, Amelia Pimpinella, Ann Knapp; and sister-in-law Patty Sbaraglia.

 

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018, from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home’s original location at 102 West St., Ilion.

 

Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home, with Pastor Rich Schauff, officiating.  Burial will be in Armory Hill Cemetery, Ilion.

In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Ave., Gloversville, NY 12078.  Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.

 

Rosalie’s Family has entrusted all service  arrangements and supervision to their family Funeral Director, Don Applegate.
