Obituary of Joseph H. Harrison, Jr.

SCHUYLER – Joseph H. Harrison, Jr., 90, of Schuyler, NY, died on June 11, 2018 at Sitrin Healthcare.

He was born July 3, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Joseph H. Harrison, Sr. and Aida (Hart). He was married to Helen R. Peterson on July 1, 1950 on Long Island and the couple had resided in Schuyler since 2005. Helen passed away Nov. 18, 2011. For several years the couple enjoyed returning to their home town but had a great admiration for the Mohawk Valley. He served with the United States Navy, World War II, Pacific Ocean. He had been employed for the Mt. Markham School District.

He is survived by daughters Pat Vail and husband Terry, and Diane Couch; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a daughter, Sherrie Nichols; and three sisters, Audrey, Maureen and Beatrice.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday June 26, 2018 at 11:30 AM at East Schuyler Cemetery where graveside prayers will be offered. Arrangements are with Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, Ilion, NY 13357.
