EAST HERKIMER – Mary E. Massaro passed away June 15, 2018, after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family at the time of her passing.

She is survived by her husband, Michael; her children, Michael Massaro, Jr., Angela Lyon & husband Joseph, Michelle Gilbert and husband Thomas P., and Beth Lyon and husband Robert, Jr., her mother-in-law, Ann Massaro, grandchildren, Nicole, Megan, Mikey, Joseph, Jr. and wife Casey, Jacob, Jenavieve, JoJo, Diesle, Isabelle, Emma and Bobbie; brothers, Joseph, Paul, and John and his wife, Debbie; In-Laws, Margaret DeCarr and husband Robert and Mary Ann Rice and husband Robert, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Genevieve, her father-in-law Michael Massaro, and grandson, Justin Lyon.
A celebration of Life will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., July 14, 2018 at the Ilion Knights of Columbus.
A special thank you to Dr. Atul Butala and nursing staff as well as Hospice and her loving extended members of her family, the members of the golf course. She loved you all. Memorial contributions may be made to Herkimer County Humane Society.
