Obituary of Israel Weidenbaum

 

GLOVERSVILLE – We are saddened to announce the passing of Mr. Israel Weidenbaum early Sunday morning September 16, 2018 at Albany Medical Center, age 78. Israel has been in failing health for some time.

Israel was born June 25, 1940 in New York City and was a very pleasant man with a strong deep voice. Israel loved to dress nice and especially liked completing his outfit with a baseball hat or fishing hat. Israel enjoyed watching television especially the older shows on TV Land. He liked listening to music and his favorites were Johnny Cash and Elvis. He also enjoyed going to Music in the Park was exceptionally happy after seeing ‘I Love Lucy’ at Proctor’s. Israel loved trains and loved when his train magazine came each month.

Israel became part of the Lexington family in 2010 when he moved to Bacon Brook IRA and attended Oppenheim Day Hab. He was loved by everyone there. In 2014 he moved to Mt. View 2 in Gloversville as he had increasing health needs and began attending Kaleidoscope Day Hab. Israel wasted no time becoming part of his new families, all of whom survive him.

Funeral service will be Graveside on Wednesday September 19, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Dolgeville Cemetery, West State Street Dolgeville, NY.  After the cemetery service there will be a gathering at  Mt. View 2 in Gloversville, which is located at 991/2 East State Street, in Gloversville for a remembrance of Israel.  Arrangements are with Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center Street, St. Johnsville, NY.
