Obituary of Florence (Marchese) Quatrino

LITTLE FALLS – Florence (Marchese) Quatrino, age 91, of Little Falls, NY, passed away on Saturday December 8, 2018 at Little Falls Hospital.

She was born February 6, 1927 in Frankfort, NY, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Elizabeth (Guarniere) Marchese and was educated in schools there. Her marriage to James Quatrino took place November 12, 1949 at St. Mary’s Church, Frankfort. He passed away on December 10, 1986. She last worked with P & K Dress Company and was a member of the Holy Family Parish and the Rosary Sodality. Flo loved playing cards and being around her family…and her home was always open for family and friends especially for her Sunday Sauce.

She is survived by her beloved family, her daughter Annette McGraw of Ilion, her two sons, Jimmy & Henry of Little Falls, her grandson Thomas McGraw and her great – grandchildren, Christopher, Evan and Olivia, her sister and brother – in – law, Elizabeth Donovan and her husband Jere of Piedmont, South Carolina, her sisters – in – law, Nadine Marchese of Little Falls and Marion Marchese of El Paso, Texas, her aunt, Rose Guarniere of Frankfort, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Stefaniak, Jennie Dowhniak, Josephine Ostasz and Rosalie Derkay, and her brothers Frank Marchese and Salvatore “Sam” Marchese.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday December 13, 2018 at 10:30 AM at The Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street in Little Falls, NY and at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Parish Church, corner of East Main & John Streets, Little Falls, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, town of Herkimer. Calling hours for family and friends are Thursday morning, prior to the funeral prayers at the funeral home, 9:30 until 10:30 AM. Those wishing to remember Florence in a special way are asked to consider a donation in her memory to either the Holy Family Parish or to the Little Falls Fire Department. Envelopes for these opportunities will be available at the funeral home.
