Obituary of Jackson, Richard, Michael DeCarlis

 

HERKIMER – Heaven has received the most beautiful angels on Friday morning, January 11, 2019, as Jackson (One year old), Richard (6 years old, 1st Grade) and Michael DeCarlis (7 years old, 2nd Grade) have gained their angel wings. The children are pain free and flying high, watching over each and everyone that they loved and received love from so very dearly.

Funeral services will be held on Friday January 18, 2019, at 1:00 PM, at The Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, Ilion, NY (Town of Frankfort) with Father Mark Cunningham, officiating. Calling hours for family and friends at the funeral home will be held on Thursday afternoon, January 17th from 12 Noon until 2:00 PM and then evening hours on Thursday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM. Additional calling hours will be held on Friday morning, prior to the funeral service at the funeral home, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. The family will gather at the Herkimer VFW after the funeral services.

Jackson Xavier DeCarlis was born December 28, 2017, at St. Luke’s Hospital, in New Hartford to parents Michael Scott DeCarlis and Courtney Lee Dedicke.  He was a happy boy and loved everybody. He loved the newness of life. He was learning to walk,talk and loved to engage with family and his dog,Tate. His eyes were wide with excitement at the site of Stewart, the One – Eyed Minion, his favorite toy.

Richard Allen DeCarlis was born August 31, 2012, at St. Luke’s Hospital, in New Hartford to parents Michael Scott DeCarlis and Cassandra L. “Cassie”  Boepple. Richards’s personality was loving and his eyes sparkled making you feel welcome. Richies imagination was endless, he loved to play with Legos, cars and  games with his brothers.

Michael Scott DeCarlis, Jr. was born June 20, 2011, in Tarpon Springs, Florida to parents Michael Scott DeCarlis and Cassandra L. “Cassie” Boepple. Mikey was the first one to greet you when you walked through the door, always with a smile and a hug. He loved to play with Legos and coloring pictures. He was very creative. Mikey loved to play sports, especially baseball.

The family is survived by the children’s parents respectfully named above; brother, Logan Michael DeCarlis; Grandparents, Michael and Jennifer DeCarlis, Sabrina and Michael Bottom, Coreena Dedicke and Chad Santmyer, Kale Lanphere, Christina and Keith Blum and Stacey and Kathleen Boepple; great-grandparents, Tina Dedicke and Richard Hamilton, Betty Lanphere, Joanne Scofield and Richard Burton, Roger and Celeste DeCarlis, Patricia and William Wood, Dale and Charles Oldick and Charlotte and Allen Boepple; many aunts and uncles, including Kale E. Lanphere, Trisha Dedicke and Wes Perry, Kathy and Ken Goodson, Andrew DeCarlis(Samantha), Corey Scofield, Dennis Evans, Jr., Meagan Scofield (David), Marissa DeCarlis, Alexis DeCarlis, Robert and Cathy Scofield, Pamela Dixon, Cynthia  DeCarlis (Ed) and Steve DeCarlis; and many other extended family members and very special friends inclusive to Crystal Kenney, Cameron Mosher and Theresa Corsette. The boys were predeceased by many family members as well.

We would like to thank all of those within our community who have lent a helping hand, including the Herkimer Fire Department and surrounding departments, MOVAC, family, friends, all of those in fire/rescue service and law enforcement communities. We took strength from the large show of support from everything everyone has done and continues to do. We are especially touched by the many members of the public and neighbors alike who have reached out to us, have joined us and have comforted our grieving hearts.
