Obituary of Richard M. Conklin

 

ST. JOHNSVILLE - Richard M. Conklin, of Middleburgh, New York, passed away Monday, January 21, 2019, in St. Johnsville, NY.

 

He was born March 13,1936, in Peekskill, New York. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and fisherman. He was a lifetime member of the NWTF and the NRA. Mr. Conklin also served 2 years in the Army and then went on to graduate from the New York State Police Academy. He then moved on to the Dutchess County Sheriff's Department and then security guard work. But, his love of the Outdoors took him to Equine/Blacksmith and outdoor work. Mr. Conklin's love of Maine took him back there many times before he came back to New York for his final stay.

 

Mr. Conklin is survived by His daughter, Kellie Mathews; his Grandson, Ricky (Buckshot); his son, Jim Conklin; his sister, Virginia Thomas; his nieces, Vickie Thomas, Linda Arony and Nancy Billard; his nephew, Brian Thomas; his stepsons, Jeff and Michael; and many other grandchildren. Through his love of the Outdoors he made many lifelong friendships, Tarren (T-Bone), Jimmy, Joe, Lenny and Kim and Rick and so many more.

 

Mr. Conklin is predeceased by his Parents, Lloyd F. and Anna D. Conklin; his brother, Lloyd F., Jr. (Jonesy); and his Sister, Kit Conklin.
