Obituary of Joan T. Keba

FORT PLAIN - Mrs. Joan T. Keba, age 83, of Fort Plain, NY, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2019, at St. Johnsville Rehabilitation & Nursing Center.

She was born on December 20,1935, in Canajoharie, NY, a daughter of the late Richard and Jessie (Starrin) Ferguson. She was educated in Fort Plain schools. She was united in marriage with the William J. “Bill” Keba, in January of 1954. The couple shared in over 61 years of marriage together. Bill passed away February 4, 2015. Bill and Joan raised a wonderful family.

She will be greatly missed by her surviving family, children, Joseph Keba and his wife, Kathy, Anthony Keba and his wife, Hope, Deborah Smith and her husband, Timothy and Eva Rumrill and her husband, Richard; twelve grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a sister, Jean Ferguson; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 14th, 2019, at 11:00 AM, in The Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center Street, in St.Johnsville, NY, with The Reverend David A. Johnson, officiating. Interment will take place in Fort Plain Cemetery.

Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Tuesday morning one hour prior to the funeral service (10 until 11 AM).
