Obituary of Gary Darling

-"Gary D" Darling, 33, a lifelong resident of Little Falls, passed away in his sleep at his home on Monday morning, October 9, 2006. He was born on April 23, 1973 the son of the late Gary D. and Barbara (Crimmins) Darling and graduated with the Little Falls High School, Class of 1991. To know Gary was to love Gary. He had his own way of embracing life, one that could only be admired by those who knew and appreciated him. He was a dedicated member of the Little Falls German Mannerchoir and enjoyed the times he spent there in the camaraderie of friends. Gary enjoyed playing in the Tuesday night dart league throughout Little Falls. He was a huge sports fan and enjoyed watching Cincinnati Bengals , California Angels, Florida State Seminoles, the North Carolina Tar Heels and especially enjoyed watching Michael Jordan. Survivors include two sisters: Amy Bowen of Little Falls and Lisa Nichols and husband Todd; aunts and uncles: Bruce Crimmins of Little Falls, Edward Ortlieb and wife Sandra of Dolgeville, Gordon Darling and wife Edith of Dolgeville, and Marge Prochazka of Little Falls; nieces and nephews: Eric Scalice, Ryan Bowen, Stephanie Bowen and Robert Pettengill, Jr. Relatives and friends are invited to visitation at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls, on Wednesday, October 11, 2006 from 5-7 p.m. Gary's funeral will commence at 11 am on Thursday, October 12, 2006 from the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Anthony Ligato, pastor of Holy Family Parish, Little Falls, officiating. Procession will follow to St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer, where he will be laid to rest. The family thanks all of Gary's friends for always being there for him and for being a part of his life especially mentioning: Norman Baker, Chris and Reina Papaleo, Jere Nash, Jeff Nichols, Rob, Tom and Dave Nobile.
