DAD or shall I say "dinky" you are the most wonderful and compelling DAD and GRANDPA anyone could ask for. We have learned so much from you over the years. I can't go into detail about all the lessons for life you taught us, however there are several lessons that do come to mind. First of all you always said" boys never be selfish and look out for each other." Secondly, "don't get mad, only dogs get mad." As recently as Thanksgiving you taught me the lesson with the turkey on the skewer. Third, "better to be pissed off than on." Remember when you told Jennifer, let me refresh your memory with the salsa jar. You know DAD I have so many fond memories of our times together, fishing for one. Remember when we were fly fishing and I took your hat off with that fly, or when I tipped the boat over. You called me a big "dink" and then that time uncle Ken, You and I went ocean fishing, you know that we fed those fish just so you could catch the "big one." Cottonpicker, you always put your children FIRST!!! For example, on our wedding day you gave of yourself by taking such pictures of us all at a very happy family time. On any emergency you were always there with a band-aid ready in your pocket. Thank GOD for that band-aid. Thanks for helping me move that heavy dryer. No payment needed? I sent it off with you. Your grandaughter Sarah will always enjoy Grandpa's lollipops. Jennifer, or shall I say "dinky" will always keep the outdoor channel on for us to see how easy it is to bring home a big 3- point buck, as you did with Patrick on opening day. And I give you my word to keep the fireplace turned down so I don't "cook the balls off that brass monkey." We thought our last ride together was in that big "eggbeater" but this is not so, because you will always be beside us on any journey that we may make, even to Florida, but especially to Granny's for ice cream. A-1, thats the room you were put in at Albany Med.on friday, how fitting for the best A-1 DAD there could ever be. AN A-1 ROOM FOR AN A-1 DAD. We all know that Dads come in different shapes and sizes, but most are labeled by what they do. Through the eyes of your children you are the greatest DAD. I PROMISE YOU THAT I WILL BE THE DAD THAT YOU ARE TO US. WE LOVE YOU WITH ALL OF ARE HEARTS. IN LOVING MEMORY JAY, JENNIFER, SARAH,& PEANUT.
