Obituary of W. Carrig

LITTLE FALLS- Mr. W. Morgan Carrig, 86, of State Rte 5, entered into eternal rest on January 27, 2011 at Alpine Rehabilitation and Nursing. Morgan was born on October 14, 1924, in Little Falls, the son of the late John and Marie A. ( Morgan ) Carrig. On May 17, 1956 he was united in marriage with Anne J. Cibulka in Little Falls. Their loving union lasted over 36 years until her passing in 1992. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a very family oriented man who lived his life to the fullest. He loved all animals, especially his German Shepherds. He enjoyed thoroughbred horse racing and often traveled to Saratoga to watch it. He also enjoyed his trips to Pine Lake and Caroga Lake with his family. Morgan was such a genuine person who never had a bad thing to say about anybody. Anyone who knew him was blessed, as he had an infectious smile and made everyone happy. Morgan loved Little Falls and was passionate about everything in his hometown, he was always the life of the party. Morgan was a big New York Giants and New York Mets fan. Morgan was the owner of Morgan's Dairy in Little Falls for over 45 years. He was a member of the ELKs and the Holy Family Church. Morgan is survived by his son William M. Carrig Jr. and his wife Karen of Little Falls; his daughter Gail Gouse and her husband William of Oyster Bay, NY; his grandchildren: Joseph John Carrig, Rachael Lynn Carrig, Brittany Morgan Gouse and Ryan William Gouse; his brothers: Thomas Carrig and his wife Theresa of Little Falls and David Carrig and his wife Doris of Little Falls; his sister Teddy Riley and her husband Charles of Little Falls and many, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters Mary, Theresa and Louise, his brother John and his brother in law Stuart. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday January 30, 2011 from 2- 4pm at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls. His Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11am on Monday, January 31, 2011 at Holy Family Church with the Rev. Thomas Lawless officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Morgan's name to HALO ( Helping Animals Live Organized) and to the Herkimer Humane Society.Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff of Alpine Rehabilitation and Nursing for the loving care they gave to Morgan during his stay there.
