Betty would walk all over downtown Little Falls up till the time she was admitted to the hospital one and a half month before her death. when the Big M was still here, it would be unusual not to see Betty at least three or four times a day. Either going to the store for herself but mostly going for other people.She would wait for the chickens to get done cooking and buy at least two of them. One for her and one for myself and my daughter , even if my daughter was not here. You never said no thank you to her for she got terribly offended.The girls at Kinneys had a special connection with Betty especially Donna the manager. When she bought Lucky
seven tickets and didn't win she wouldn't believe it untill Donna would come and tell her that it was a losing ticket.she would stop in the stores everyday to stock up on things. Not only for herself but for everybody else she could think of at that moment.
finally I had to say something to the dollar store when she came home with 30$ worth of hearing aid batteries. it would've been ok if she got the right size for herself. It took me three months to get that straightend out because they didn't have her kind of batteries and of course she didn't save the reciept. of course they were very helpful and put the
$ on s dollar store gift card. But, I think the most thing people will remember of Betty is her dry sense of humor. She would have a come back to something that you said before you got it completely out of your mouth. Her son told me a story that once she went in the hospital for some tests and they thought she needed to be put in the nursing home because of the things she was telling them. Little did they know that that was just betty. Being sarcastic or a wise guy or just being funny. Or Busting them on you. Needless to say, she came home for many more years, loving everybody, and busting them on everybody. Just being the funny, loving,giving betty. She will be so missed. rest in peace betty .
