Little Falls: Mrs. Elizabeth A. Ferjanec, 96, of East John Street, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2014 in Alpine Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Little Falls. Mrs. Ferjanec was born on October 1, 1917 in Little Falls, a daughter of the late Casper and Sophie (Michatek) Maruszak. She was a lifelong area resident and was educated in Little Falls schools. On August 2, 1936, she and John J. Ferjanec were married by the Reverend Joseph Connolly in St. Joseph's Church, Little Falls. Together, they shared a loving and devoted union of nearly 54 years, until John's passing on January 21, 1990. Elizabeth was a communicant of Holy Family Parish Church, Little Falls. She was last employed at Salada Foods for 17 years until her retirement at the age of 62. She then devoted many, many hours doing volunteer work for the elderly, which she so enjoyed. Surviving Elizabeth is a son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Cynthia Ferjanec of Clifton Park; grandchildren, Amy and (Walter) Davies of Ballston Spa, Shawn and (Laura) Ferjanec of Los Angeles, CA, and Cherie and (Peter) Dowling of Ballston Spa; great grandchildren, Ryan Dowling and Taylor Davies; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She also leaves her good friend and companion at Rockton Plaza, Janet Baker. She was predeceased by her sisters, Sophia Maruszak and Stephanie Brodowski, and a brother, Frank Maruszak. There will be a graveside service in Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Little Falls, at a time to be announced in the spring.
