Jerome Zink was my brother-in-law for 38 years. I remember meeting him for the first time at my first meeting with Grace's parents, Tony and Antoinette. We were having a pleasant gathering and Connie mentioned that she was dating jerry. I asked "Why isn't he here?" She replied that he felt that it was a family gathering and he should exclude himself. After more conversation, Connie and I went to fetch Jerry at his apartment. Connie introduced him and I recognized a kindred soul. He was about 5'8" and in superb physical shape. His occupation at that time was a steeple Jack and painter. Both jobs are very demanding and very physical. Jerry joined us at the gathering and we had a great time. Grace and I traveled from Paul Smiths to Frankfort several times and I could see that Connie and Jerry were getting serious in their relationship. Grace and I were also getting serious and we were married on December 28, 1974. We moved to Oregon and Connie and Jerry were married the next summer. I always regretted that we could not attend their wedding. I had just started a new job and I could not get the time off to travel back to New York even though my father-in-law Tony offered to foot the bill. We moved back to New York State in April 1979 with two children (Guinevere and Margaret). We made many trips to Frankfort where we enjoyed the company of Jerry, Connie, Scott, Jerome, Tony and Annte (Antoinette) and Francine and Kenny. Jerry was always a good husband to Connie and a good father. Jerry was a hard worker and like us struggled with careers and finances. He and Connie were always enjoyable to visit and I am proud to be in the LaPuma family as Jerry was. It was a shock to hear of Jerry's death and I will miss him. David Strack

Dad, Even though we have lived a thousand miles apart we had that special bond that a father and daughter share no matter how many miles were between us. Your love and guidance has made me the woman I am today. I know that you will always watch over me and still guide me through life. I love you more each passing moment and cherish every moment of my life with you. Rest peacefully Dad, I love you and will see you in everything beautiful for the rest of my days. Love forever, Lori
