Town of Manheim-Little Falls Mrs. Donna Marie Poore 76 of 1521 Snells Bush Road Town of Manheim, died Wednesday November 11th, 2015 at her residence of natural causes. At the time of her death she was surrounded with the love of her family and her Priest Rev. Dr. Steven A. Scarcia. Donna was born in Ilion, on December 12, 1938 the daughter of the late Lawrence and Jesse (Edgett) Bushie Sr. and was a graduate of Mohawk School, class of 1956. She was employed as a secretary- stenographer for Herkimer County Community College, retiring from there in 1993 with 21 years of service. Her marriage to Donald H. Poore took place on May 22, 1992 at the family farm on Snells Bush road, Town of Manheim. Mr. Poore predeceased her on September 9th, 2012. Donna served as President of the CSEA of Herkimer County for 12 years and was a member of the Insurance Women's Group of Herkimer County. She was a collector of Hummel's and porcelain bells along with personally enjoying gardening, crocheting and traveling. Her love of cooking and baking will be remembered most by her family, especially her famous Christmas cookies. She is survived by a Son and his wife Keith and Sharon Mabbett of Little Falls, daughters Laurie and her husband Jim Blackburn of Fulton, NY and Sari and her husband Jeffery Overmyer of Minn., Her step children Richard and Marsha Poore of Leesport, PA, Veronica Poore of Rome, NY, and Valerie and Richard Foster of Salisbury Center. Several grandchildren and great grand children. A Special Niece and her husband Sandy and Doug Royon of Cleveland, Ohio, and very special friends Diane and Wayne McCabe of Little Falls. She was predeceased by her husband Donald, a Step son Douglas Poore and her Sister Nina Sponburgh. In keeping with her wishes there will be No formal services or calling hours.
